After meeting the guide in the hotel lobby, you will set off on a private bike tour through Amsterdam's coolest neighborhoods, tailored to the pace of each traveler.
Your adventure begins in Oud-West, a lively neighborhood that seamlessly blends old-world charm with a fantastic mix of art galleries, quirky boutiques, cozy cafes, and famous architectural projects such as De Hallen, a vibrant cultural hub housed in a renovated tram depot. Nowadays, it features a food hall, boutique shops, a cinema, and exhibition spaces.
From there, we will bike to Noord, on the opposite side of the IJ River. Crossing the river by ferry, you'll experience a dramatic change in scenery as you explore this up-and-coming area known as Amsterdam's Brooklyn. Admire the futuristic Eye Film Museum, soak in the breathtaking views from the A'DAM Tower, and meander through the eclectic NDSM Wharf, a former shipyard turned vibrant cultural hub.
Continuing our adventure, we venture into the Jewish Quarter. As we wander through the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter, you'll notice the traces of a thriving community that once thrived here. Admire the beautiful synagogues, each telling a unique story of faith and tradition. Marvel at the architectural gems, such as the Portuguese Synagogue, an iconic symbol of Jewish heritage in Amsterdam.
Continuing along the route, you'll reach the Amstel area, famous for its iconic canals and scenic waterfront views. Follow the meandering Amstel River as you pedal past elegant mansions and charming houseboats, absorbing the picturesque scenery that has inspired countless artists and writers throughout history. Take a break at one of the cozy cafes or terraces along the riverbank and soak in the ambiance.
The final stop on your bike tour is De Pijp, a trendy and vibrant neighborhood beloved by locals and visitors alike that was formerly an industrial neighborhood. Cruise along the famous Albert Cuyp Market, where a plethora of stalls offer everything from fresh produce to local delicacies. Return to your hotel at 6 PM.
IMPORTANT: Rental of the bikes are not included. They will be reserved with your hotel, and the payment of the rent shall be done directly by the guest upon check-out. Estimated costs are approximately EUR 25 per bicycle.
