Meet your guide at 10 AM and set off on a journey to learn about one of the lesser-known atrocity sights of WWII.

This impressive fortress that has stood the test of time once protected the King of the Belgians, Leopold III, and housed the General Staff of the Belgian armed forces. However, Fort Breendonk only became memorialized after the end of WWII.

During the horrific events of the German occupation of Belgium, Fort Breendonk was used as a transit camp for prisoners taken during WWII before they were transferred to concentration camps. As you navigate your way through the gloomy dormitories, execution sites, and torture chambers, be mindful of the suffering that took place here.

As you say goodbye to your guide at 2 PM, leave this half-day tour with new knowledge of Belgium and a reminder of the importance of tolerance, acceptance, and kindness of one another.
