Overview

A private journey through two Nordic capitals set on the water. Four nights in Copenhagen, the Danish capital of royal palaces, design-led streets, and the untranslatable art of hygge, are paired with three nights in Stockholm, a city spread across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic. Between them lie the Renaissance castles and modern-art pavilions of North Zealand, the towering white cliffs of Møns Klint, the salvaged seventeenth-century warship of the Vasa, and the Viking rune stones of Sigtuna. Every transfer, guide, and admission is arranged on a private basis and tailored to the traveller's interests.

A genuine balance of city, art, and nature: the Renaissance grandeur of Frederiksborg Castle, the modern-art pavilions of Louisiana above the Øresund, the seventy-million-year-old chalk cliffs of Møns Klint, and the salvaged warship Vasa, each a landmark in its own right rather than a passing photo stop.

A private canal and harbour boat tour in Copenhagen, the city's most rewarding perspective, gliding past the Opera House, the Black Diamond library, and the canals of Christianshavn. From the water the working harbour, the royal quarters, and the new waterfront baths where locals swim in summer all come into view.

Two Nordic capitals in a single journey: design-led Copenhagen on the Øresund and island-woven Stockholm on Lake Mälaren, linked by a short flight. Each city is explored on a private basis, and the quiet contrast between Danish hygge and Swedish elegance forms the thread that runs through the week.

Deep Viking and medieval heritage at Sigtuna, Sweden's oldest town, founded in 980 and home to the greatest concentration of rune stones in the world. The day reaches well beyond the capital into the countryside of Lake Mälaren, where carved stones and roofless church ruins trace a thousand years of Nordic history.
